RFID Products

A transponder in simple words is a microchip connected to an antenna and the whole thing is assembled on a substrate material. This substrate could be a PET or a PCB. This transponder when encapsulated in plastic or glass or any other material, with a particular shape to meet the application requirement is called a "Tag". A tag can be general purpose also which can server multiple applications. A wide variety of tags is available with us. Please contact us for further details.

Inlays UHF - Gen2

The frequency used for ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID systems varies between 860 and 960 MHz. UHF RFID systems operate at 915 MHz in the United States and 868 MHz in Europe and 865-867 MHz in India. UHF RFID systems are being widely deployed due to RFID mandates from several large corporations, including international retailers, and the U.S. Department of Defense. In addition to retail, UHF systems are employed in various supply chain management applications.

The UHF product range by Bar Code India comprises the tags and inlays in the formats :

  • Dry inlay : continuous web, no adhesive
  • Wet inlay : die-cut web with adhesive, filmic face
  • Label : die-cut web with adhesive, paper face
  • Hard Tag : Rigid encapsulate

HF - Inlays

The frequency typically used for high frequency (HF) RFID systems is 13.56 MHz. The HF frequency range is accepted worldwide. A typical HF RFID system uses passive tags and offers fair performance in the presence of metals and liquids. HF systems are widely used in library, mass transit and product authentication applications.

The HF product range by us comprises the tags and inlays presented in the table below, in the following delivery formats :

  • Dry inlay : continuous web, no adhesive
  • Wet inlay : die-cut web with adhesive, filmic face
  • Tag : die-cut web with adhesive, paper face

UHF Tags

By encapsulating and protecting the inlay from harsh environments, and allowing the tag to work correctly when mounted directly to metallic objects, the GEN2 Tag for harsh environment and metallic objects, is suitable for rough- service applications, mounted in a tough housing for resistance to liquids and chemicals.

Suitable for use on metallic objects, such as trolleys, where the tag is subject to exposure to wet, hot and cold environments, as well as for permanent mounting to other media.

The tag is available with and without mounting brackets, and features to allow customization.

HF (13.56 MHz) / LF (124 KHz) Tags

By encapsulating and protecting the inlay from harsh environments, and allowing the tag to work correctly when mounted directly to metallic objects, the HF/LF tag for harsh environment and metallic objects, is suitable for rough- service applications, mounted in a tough housing for resistance to liquids and chemicals.

Suitable for use on metallic objects, such as trolleys, where the tag is subject to exposure to wet, hot and cold environments, as well as for permanent mounting to other media.

The tag is available with and without mounting brackets, and features to allow customization.

UHF Animal Tags

Our UHF visual tags offer the same printing surfaces found on existing bar code ear tags, plus increased data transfer speed, unparalleled reliability in areas of high electromagnetic interference, anti-collision features, and significantly longer read ranges - features current LF and high frequency RFID technologies do not have. Our proven product mix of LF and UHF Animal Tags, our customers gain tremendous benefit from our sophisticated identification solutions.

Applications :

  • Pet Identification
  • Agriculture
  • Breeding
  • Lab/Research

Additional Benefits:

  • Mobile RFID read/write capability for the popular 700 Series Mobile Computer
  • Multi-protocol radio for worldwide use
  • Ideal for exception based scanning
  • Available for UHF frequency bands worldwide
  • Integrated circular polarized antenna reads tags in any orientation
  • Optional linear antenna maximizes read range
LF Animal Tags

Animal RFID Tags consist of an integrated circuit, which is a microchip utilizing a low frequency of 125 KHz. The microchip is sealed in glass compatible with the animal's body containing a programmed identification number, which fits inside a hypodermic needle and is injected under the skin of an animal. Since these RFID Tags are passive, meaning they do not require a battery, a reader temporarily energizes the microchip allowing it to transmit its data to the reader with error-free reliability.

Under normal conditions, the RFID Tags can last in excess of 20 to 25 years and generally well beyond the life of any companion animal. The read range for low frequency tags is approximately three to seven inches (8 cm to 18 cm).

Applications

  • Pet Identification/Recovery
  • Agriculture/Lab/Research
  • Aquaculture
  • Breeding

UHF Tire Tag

Under this category we have two varites of RFID tags namely -

  • Tire Tag
  • Tire Patc

Tire Tag :

The Tire Tag is a UHF RFID Tag, (read/write EPC Gen2 with user memory), that is embedded in the tire mold prior to the manufacture and curing of the tire. It survives high temperatures encountered in the tire curing process and is sturdy enough to then remain operational throughout the operating life of the tire. The Tire Tag is under license from Michelin has been tested to survive several hundred thousand miles under real life conditions and does not generate a potential earlier failure point in the tire.

Tire Patch :

The Tire Patch is a standard Tire Tag buried in a classic tire patch of a certain size, the certain rubber characteristics to be adhered to the inside wall of the tire with special dual core chemical and or heat process. The tire patch is permanently attached to the tire and will remain operational throughout the life of the tire. Read range is essentially the same as with the tag embedded tire tag.
